Veteran Writers Division Storytelling Showcase - "Stateside"
Ends on
So Say We All's Veteran Writers Division invites you into our conflict writer community!
Veterans, active duty service members, military family members, foreign national interpreters, United Nations, and State Department personnel are invited to participate in a live non-fiction writing workshop series leading to a performance showcase on Saturday, March 8th in San Diego, CA.
We are committed to helping you tell your true stories, telling them better, and making sure your stories are heard and read by as many people as possible.
It all starts with you sending us a first draft of a true, non-fiction story you want to develop on the theme of, "Stateside." It doesn't matter how rough a draft it is, or how loosely related to the theme. A rough guideline is to shoot for under 1,500 words, but it's absolutely fine if your first draft goes long; we'll workshop it down.
Participants will work together in cohort sessions over Zoom to give and receive feedback, receive 1-1 writing coaching, and be provided with performance coaches throughout the 6-8 week process.
Deadline for submissions: Sunday January 5th. We look forward to reading your writing.
