San Diego City College VAMP: "Lifeline"

Welcome to the City College VAMP submission portal! We can't wait to read your stories.

The 2025 theme "Lifeline" is open to your interpretation. It just has to be a true story! We're looking for non-fiction stories that involve a transformation (of you, a character, a place, etc.) and offer an insight that we can relate to.

In VAMP, a cohort is selected to work together over the course of several weeks in read-and-critique sessions, provided with writing and performance coaches, and ultimately provided with a live showcase to perform their original true stories.

Work should fall between 5-10 minutes in length. (Around 4 pages double-spaced, 12-point font)

Please be aware that there is a coaching and critique process for all accepted VAMP submissions [possibly online]. Coaching and critique sessions are MANDATORY. If your piece is accepted and you can't make scheduled sessions, please let us know right away. All reasonable accommodations will be made.
